The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) is  holding the quarterly wedding photography competition – Fall 2009.

Photojournalism / Candid
(The image may not be setup, directed, or prompted by the photographer. Minor Photoshop enhancements such as cropping, levels, curves, white balance adjustments and subtle vignetting are allowed. Color, B/W, and basic/subtle toned images are acceptable. Judges will penalize excessive Photoshop enhancements.)

9. The Decisive Moment (Timing is everything. One second before or after would have missed the shot.)

Directed / Posed
(The image was setup, directed, or prompted by the photographer. Minor Photoshop enhancements such as cropping, levels, curves, white balance adjustments and subtle vignetting are allowed. (Can be posed or not. There are no restrictions on Photoshop enhancements.)

14. Venue/Location

15. Framing The Subject (Use creative composition or environmental elements to frame the main subject in the photo)

16. Movement and Motion (blur, panning, dragging the shutter, images that convey motion)

17. All About Light (outstanding or unique lighting that enhances the image)

18. Wedding Details (cake, flowers, decorations, rings, etc.)

19. The Wedding Dress (a showcase for stunning wedding dress photos, hanging up before the wedding or worn by the bride)

20. Pure Art (Anything goes. Images will be judged solely on creativity and artistic merit. Creative Photoshop enhancements and experiments are encouraged. Use your imagination!)

To participate you must be an ISPWP member, which involves meeting our membership criteria and passing a portfolio/website review.
