Canon 2010 Amateur Photographer of the Year
Contest Description
With four sections – Landscape, People, Monochrome and Open Creative ‘Emotion’, this competition offers huge scope for amateur photographers to enter.
An enormous kit bag full of gear is up for grabs, with more than $5000 worth of prizes there for the taking, including four Canon MP990 printers for category winners, and the grand prize of a Canon EOS 50D dSLR with a 17-85mm IS lens.
Along with the four category winners, an overall winner selected from all submissions will be awarded the title of D-Photo/Canon Amateur Photographer of the Year.
Besides a host of great prizes, amateur photographers will also get the chance to see their images in an exclusive exhibition, displaying the best entries from the competition.

IN the amateur photo contest the eligibilith says New Zealand.Does that mean you have to be a resident there to enter? Thanks for the ingo.

Yes you would have to be a resident of New Zealand to enter this contest
In the D-Photo amateur contest, do photos taken only by Canon camera will be allowed for the contest? how about for non-canon point and shoot cameras?
Has this been judged yet? I just voted for a landscape picture and it let me…does that mean this competition is still on?
Their website says – Entries close 11.59pm on March 7, 2010, and winners will be announced in the April/May Issue of D-Photo.
