Earth Through a Lens, a juried photo competition sponsored by the Sustainability Commission of the City of Palm Springs seeks entries related to the natural environment (desert, water or mountains) and the impact of human activity on the planet (consumption, destruction, and restoration).
Judging will be based on jpg images with printed photos of 30 finalists to be exhibited on world famous Palm Canyon Drive for the month of April 2010. A catalog will be printed including all finalists. Three winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22, 2010. Winners will receive prizes of $500-$1500 along with a travel stipend to attend the award ceremony and publication of their work in Palm Springs Life magazine.
