Snowden Photography Competition “Celebrating the Mining Industry” Amateur photographers around the world are invited to submit their photographs taken that best depict a celebration of the mining industry.
The photographer will need to decide into which category they would like to enter the photograph: Black and White, Equipment and Machinery, People and Culture,or Landscape and General Setting. Photographs that do not depict a relevant aspect of the mining industry will not be accepted. The competition runs from 1 Jan to 30 June each year, the winners are announced in mid July, and the exhibition opens in Perth in October, before travelling internationally the following year.

Equipment and Machinery: $2,000, People and Culture: $2,000,
Landscape and General Setting: $2,000, People’s Choice: $1,000
ELIGIBILITY: 18+/ worldwide amateur photographers only
COPYRIGHT: Photographers retain the rights to their photo, however, by entering the contest, they grant Snowden the right to publish the submitted photo in print or electronic form, for advertising and promotion of the competition. Any photograph reproduced will include the photographers credit line.
