Photo Life is pleased to present the opening of the 2010 Emerging Photographers competition, which gives Canadian photography students, photography workshop participants, apprentice photographers, and those just beginning their careers as photographers a unique opportunity to share their vision and talent with the world.
Participants of Emerging Photographers are invited to send their submissions exclusively via our on-line facilities at www.photolife.com Participants can submit up to 3 images and must provide technical information and a brief narrative/comment for each image. Please note that this competition is open to Canadian residents only.Judging criteria is based on originality, composition and technical quality.

IMAGES
Maximum of 3 images per participant. Image format: JPEG format only; image width from 400 to 2000 pixels; files must not exceed 1 MB.

Prize Details: From the submissions received, editors will select the most outstanding up-and-coming talents to be showcased in Photo Life’s August/September issue.Eligibility: Canadian Photographers/ no age restrictions
Copyright: Publication of selected images Images selected for Emerging Photographers 2010 will be published in the August/September 2010 issue of Photo Life, which will be available at newsstands as of the beginning of August 2010.Publication Rights Apex Publications Inc. reserves publication rights of winning images in its magazines (including covers) and electronic media, as well as possible use in future Emerging Photographers’ promotional material.Claim of Ownership Participants own all rights to the images submitted and are solely responsible for obtaining model releases, when applicable. As such, participants hold Apex Publications Inc. harmless from any breech of copyright in Canada, the USA, and elsewhere and from consequential litigation.
