Contest Description
The annual Nature Photography Competition & Exhibition, organised by the Seabird Centre, features six categories; Scottish Wildlife, World Wildlife, Landscape, World Flora, Creative Visions of Nature and Environmental Impact, together with a junior category. Now in its fourth year, the competition has become well established, attracting around 400 entries each year and offers an excellent opportunity for amateur photographers to showcase their work.
A shortlist of 100 photographs is selected by the judges which is then displayed in The Nature Photography 2010 Exhibition at the Scottish Seabird Centre from November to February. In “X-Factor” style, visitors to the exhibition at the Seabird Centre also have the opportunity to vote for their favourites and this counts towards the final outcome, when the winners are announced at a ceremony in February.
Contest Prize & TERMS
Prize Details: Prizes awarded across all five categories include a field trip with award-winning wildlife photographer Laurie Campbell, membership of the Seabird Centre. There is an additional prize of a photographic holiday for the winner of the public vote.Eligibility: all ages/ all countries /amateur photographers
