First started 8 years ago in Sweden and started running globally for the first time in 2007, Metro Photo Challenge has become a truly credible event for professional and amateur photographers alike. In 2011 over 160,000 photos were submitted. To be a part of Metro Photo Challenge 2012, and the chance of being the global winner you need to upload at least one photo that meets the “approved photo requirements” in any of the four global categories – My Country’s Best, My Favorite, My Night and Temptation – before November 11th 2012.

PRIZE DETAILS: The Global Winners (One in each Global category) receives the unique opportunity to go on a photo expedition to Greenland, along with experts and guides and the latest photo equipment and wild life expedition gear. The photo project will be published in Metro worldwide in Spring 2013. The total value of the Global Grand Prize per person is €6000

COPYRIGHT: By entering the challenge, the participant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by him or her, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
USAGE RIGHTS: By submitting your entry to the Metro Photo Challenge 2012, you give Metro the right to, including but not limited to, reproduce, amend, exhibit, print, use, and to any third party assign and sub-license the entry, in any form, for marketing and editorial purposes in any media related the challenge during five (5) years from the date of the challenge’s closure.
The winners of the global prize will have a photo from their expedition trip published on www.metrophotochallenge.com.
