CENTER’s once annual Call for Entries for the Choice Awards, Project Grants and Review Santa Fe.
The not-for-profit public service organization, CENTER, founded in 1994, honors, supports, and provides opportunities to gifted and committed photographers.
It is the aim of CENTER to help photographers identify their creative goals and accomplish them through feedback, support and opportunities. The annual programs include the Project Competition, the Choice Awards, Santa Fe Prize, Excellence in Teaching Award, Review LA, Review Santa Fe, Portfolio Bootcamp and the CENTER website. Public exhibitions, educational presentations and expositions of the work are held in conjunction with the Awards and Portfolio Reviews.
- The Choice Awards recognize outstanding photographers working in all processes and subject matter. The Awards are divided into three categories: Curator’s Choice, Editor’s Choice, and Gallerist’s Choice. More Info
- The Project Development Grant offers financial support to fine art, documentary or photojournalist works-in-progress. The grant includes a cash award to help complete a project as well as platforms for feedback and professional development opportunities for the works final stages. This grant is awarded to projects that are still in progress and have not been exhibited or published.More Info
- The Project Launch grant is presented to an outstanding photographer working in fine art series or documentary project. The grant includes a cash award to help complete or disseminate the works as well as providing a platform for exposure and professional development opportunities. This grant requires signature of a contract and participation in an exhibition.More Info

Review Santa Fe: nine portfolio reviews, inclusion in the Review Santa Fe 100 online resource, an opening reception at the Center for Contemporary Art, a closing reception at the IHM Retreat Center, as well as an educational photographic seminar

USAGE RIGHTS: By completing the application, the photographer grants CENTER permission to reproduce works from their submitted materials in connection with the administration, judging and promotion of CENTER, the CENTER Awards, Grants and portfolio review events. Permissible uses of the images submitted shall include their reproduction, distribution and display in CENTER exhibitions, multimedia presentations, and printed materials related to promotion of CENTER and the CENTER Awards and events. CENTER shall have the right to grant permissions to the press and publicity agents in connection with the promotion of the CENTER Awards, exhibitions, and related events. All Grant recipients, including the Juror's Choice as well as the winners of the CENTER's Choice Awards are asked to donate a print to CENTER. Submission of an entry to this awards, grants or portfolio review, signifies acceptance of all conditions stated.
