Open to all types of photography and photography-based mixed media artworks. Judged on the following:
-artistic merit (use of the elements and principles of art and design, as well as artistic impact and story-telling)
-technical proficiency (includes proper use of light)
Contest Prize & TERMS
PRIZE DETAILS: First prize in the professional category - $1,200.
First prize in the non-professional category - $300 .
All finalists in both categories will be considered for publication in the Camera Obscura Journal.
Finalists in the professional category also receive a gift card for the Polished Photographer valued at $100.

USAGE RIGHTS: Entering the competition does NOT constitute a usage agreement. We will not use your images for any purpose other than judging. In the event that the image is selected as a finalist, entrant will be notified and given a license/use agreement with Sfumato Press LLC (dba Camera Obscura Journal) granting permission for publication in our magazine and for promotion of the magazine before the final judging on the image occurs.
